Business Development Manager

Our client in the industrial sales industry is hiring two Business Development Managers in their Illinois market. These positions will replace a long-term sales professional that is retiring.
Summary:
This position will build relationships with new prospects, manage current accounts and develop new opportunities within these accounts, consult on client business needs and present solutions that provide an effective return on investment for clients.
- Engage in prospecting activities with accounts and contacts focused on company’s strategic markets and related product marketing objectives
- After new business is developed maintain ongoing relationship to present new solutions and ensure products/services meet client expectations
- Collaborate with customer service team on orders to meet delivery deadlines.
- Research and understand market trends to support client education/consultation
- Utilize organized approach to build and track sales pipeline
- Meet or exceed quarterly sales targets
Requirements:
- 3 years + business development experience preferably calling on the manufacturing/industrial industries
- Proven performance in exceeding sales goals
- Collaborative team player that can work effectively with senior leadership and sales team
- Ability to travel for overnight stays 2-3 times per month
