Accounting Manager

Summary

As an Accounting Manager, you will oversee the daily operations of the accounting department and serve as a strategic advisor to management, providing financial insights and collaborating on fiscal strategies aligned with organizational goals.

What You Will Be Doing

• Financial Leadership:
  • Manage accounting procedures, controls, and audits.
  • Prepare accurate financial reports and analyses.
  • Review and accurately account for all intercompany transactions.
  • Oversee month-end closing and financial reporting.
  • Review and analysis of WIP report specifically WIP revenue and WIP Inventory
  • Manage bank accounts and prepare cash flow forecasting reports
  • Analyze financial data to inform strategic decision-making.

• Team Management:
  • Supervise accounting staff and assist in hiring and performance management.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Develop and implement training and development programs.

• Compliance and Risk Management:
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and financial regulations.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Manage intercompany transactions and sales tax filings.

• Strategic Planning:
  • Participate in budget development and management.
  • Advise management on financial matters and strategic initiatives.
  • Forecast cash flow and analyze financial performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the accounting department, ensuring accurate and compliant financial reporting.
• Oversee month-end close processes and manage intercompany transactions.
• Provide leadership and guidance to accounting staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and identify financial risks, developing strategies to mitigate them.
• Contribute to the development of financial strategies and budgeting processes.

Work Environment:

• Office-based position with standard office equipment.
• Sedentary work environment with occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.
• Flexible work hours within a Monday-Friday schedule.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field; Master’s degree or CPA is preferred.
• A minimum of 10 years of progressive accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, experience with accounting software (NetSuite, QuickBooks), and proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
