We are currently seeking a Chargemaster for a healthcare organization in the Kansas City Metro Area. This role is a great opportunity for an experienced revenue cycle professional who is skilled in charge capture, compliance, and process optimization.

Summary

As a Chargemaster, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing the hospital and physician chargemaster, ensuring data integrity, and maximizing reimbursement in compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. You will oversee pricing structures, coding accuracy, and revenue reporting requirements while working closely with clinical and administrative departments. This role reports to the Sr. Director of Revenue Cycle and plays a key part in revenue integrity strategy and compliance.

What You Will Be Doing

• Maintain and standardize the Chargemaster (CDM) to ensure accurate CPT, HCPCS, and revenue codes for proper reimbursement.
• Develop initiatives to enhance charge capture accuracy, implement annual price increases, and monitor payer billing changes.
• Stay updated on coding and billing regulations to ensure compliance with governmental and commercial payer requirements.
• Lead meetings with clinics and departments regarding new services, equipment acquisitions, and charge code validation.
• Create and execute a Revenue Integrity Workplan to address compliance deficiencies and improve revenue cycle processes.
• Generate management reports and oversee hospital payer credentialing.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accurate charge capture and revenue integrity across departments.
• Develop and monitor strategies for pricing structures and compliance.
• Lead initiatives to enhance coding accuracy and financial performance.
• Maintain regulatory compliance with evolving healthcare billing requirements.
• Serve as chair for the Revenue Cycle Team Committee and provide leadership in revenue integrity.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of revenue cycle experience in a healthcare setting.
• Certified Professional Coder (CPC) certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Business, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in payer credentialing and regulatory compliance is a plus.
