Summary
As a Commercial Banker – Business Development, you will be responsible for building and managing a portfolio of business relationships, serving as the primary contact for their borrowing needs while identifying and facilitating additional banking services that meet their requirements. This role focuses on both loan and treasury management growth, requiring a blend of financial analysis, sales, and relationship management skills. The position is in-office with flexible scheduling options, offering a collaborative work environment that supports your professional growth and success.
What You Will Be Doing
- Build and manage a portfolio of business clients, serve as their primary contact for loans and treasury management services. Develop and nurture strong, long-term relationships.
- Conduct financial analysis and structure non-complex loans with limited supervision. Prepare loan presentations and other supporting documentation as needed.
- Act as a facilitator for additional banking services that meet the client’s needs, including deposit and treasury management products. Support clients in identifying and implementing the best banking solutions for their business.
- Participate in community activities to strengthen the bank’s presence and develop new business opportunities.
- Prepare and deliver presentations to clients, demonstrating the value of the bank’s products and services.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary contact for business clients, manage their borrowing needs and promote additional banking services.
- Structure non-complex loans and conduct detailed financial analysis to support lending decisions.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships by leveraging your understanding of business needs and financial products.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the effective delivery of banking services.
- Represent the bank in community and industry events to enhance brand visibility and build new relationships.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in commercial banking sales or a credit analyst role, with a strong desire to move into a sales-focused position.
- Proficiency in financial analysis, credit underwriting, relationship management, and excellent communication skills.
- Strong customer service orientation with a proven track record of sales success and attention to detail.
