Credit Analyst

We are currently hiring a Credit Analyst to support lending and credit functions for a growing financial institution. This role is ideal for someone with a strong foundation in financial analysis who enjoys working closely with lenders and contributing to sound credit decisions.

Summary

As a Credit Analyst, you will support underwriting, loan review, and credit analysis activities. You’ll work alongside lenders and credit teams to evaluate borrower financials, assess risk, and help maintain the overall quality of the lending portfolio. This role requires attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and a solid understanding of financial statements.

What You Will Be Doing

• Analyze financial statements, tax returns, and supporting documentation for loan underwriting
• Prepare credit memorandums, loan analyses, and supporting materials for approval
• Assist with loan reviews to support portfolio quality and compliance
• Support lenders with credit analysis, risk assessment, and structuring recommendations
• Conduct ongoing financial reviews of borrowers and assist with annual relationship evaluations
• Maintain accurate credit files and supporting documentation
• Assist with tracking and monitoring past-due loans and portfolio performance
• Support process improvements and system updates as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely and accurate completion of credit analyses
• Prepare reports and supporting documentation for internal review
• Maintain organized and compliant credit files and loan documentation
• Collaborate with lending and operations teams to support credit processes
• Uphold credit quality standards and regulatory requirements

Qualifications & Requirements

• 1–4 years of experience in credit analysis, preferably within commercial banking
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred
• Strong understanding of financial statements and basic credit analysis principles
• Ability to analyze and interpret business and personal financial information
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
