Workday GL Implementation Consultant

We are currently seeking an experienced Workday GL Implementation Consultant to lead and execute Workday Financials implementations primarily focused on the General Ledger module.

Summary

As a Workday GL Implementation Consultant, you’ll guide end-to-end implementation efforts, from requirements gathering through deployment and post-go-live optimization. You’ll work closely with finance teams and technical stakeholders to align Workday solutions with business objectives while ensuring financial data accuracy and compliance.

What You Will Be Doing

• Lead full lifecycle implementations of Workday GL, including configuration, testing, deployment, and support
• Gather business and finance requirements and translate them into technical configurations
• Customize GL setup: account structures, journal processes, period closes, and reporting
• Oversee financial data migration and integration with legacy systems
• Develop and execute test plans including unit, integration, and user acceptance testing
• Deliver end-user training, documentation, and ongoing support
• Identify and resolve GL-related issues and recommend process optimizations
• Stay up to date on Workday releases and recommend relevant enhancements

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure accuracy and efficiency across all phases of GL implementation
• Partner with internal and external teams to support financial and technical objectives
• Maintain high standards for data integrity, security, and process documentation
• Lead and participate in cross-functional meetings to align project goals

Qualifications & Requirements

• 3–5 years of experience in Workday Financials or similar ERP systems
• Proven experience in Workday GL implementations and configurations
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles and enterprise finance operations
• Hands-on experience with Workday Studio, EIBs, reports, and security settings
• Excellent communication, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
• Workday Financials Certification preferred
