Workday Payroll Consultant

We are currently seeking a Workday Payroll Consultant to support a local client’s Workday conversion project. Summary

As a Workday Payroll Consultant, you will lead or support the implementation, optimization, and maintenance of Workday Payroll solutions for our client. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline payroll processes, troubleshoot system issues, and ensure compliance with payroll regulations. This 3–6 month project requires an on-site presence and offers a chance to make a significant impact on a critical payroll conversion.

What You Will Be Doing

• Payroll Implementation: Configure and test Workday Payroll modules, including pay groups, tax settings, and integrations. Support data migration and user acceptance testing (UAT).

• Process Optimization: Analyze payroll workflows, troubleshoot issues, and recommend improvements to enhance system efficiency.

• Employee Support & Training: Provide training, user guides, and ongoing support during and after system go-live.

• Integration & Compliance: Ensure seamless integration with HR, finance, and time-tracking systems while maintaining compliance with payroll regulations.

• Project Management: Assist with project planning, timelines, and documentation of configurations and processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation and configuration of Workday Payroll, ensuring optimal performance.
• Troubleshoot and resolve payroll-related system issues to maintain operational efficiency.
• Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to enhance payroll processes and compliance.
• Provide training and ongoing support to employees for payroll-related queries and system use.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 3+ years of Workday Payroll implementation or support experience, with knowledge of payroll processes and tax compliance.
• Proficiency in Workday Payroll configuration, reporting tools, and system integrations.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Workday Payroll certification and experience with HR technology consulting is preferred.
