Summary

As a Workforce Program Development Manager, you will lead workforce development initiatives, focusing on innovative recruitment and retention strategies. You will work closely with businesses to assess workforce needs, implement solutions, and drive measurable improvements in talent acquisition and retention. This role involves managing workforce development programs, engaging with stakeholders, and implementing organizational strategies to optimize workforce outcomes.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Develop and implement recruitment and retention strategies tailored to business needs.
  • Collaborate with businesses to assess workforce challenges and provide solutions for talent retention and development.
  • Lead workforce initiatives, ensuring alignment with business and industry needs.
  • Create and implement frameworks, metrics, and tools to improve employee engagement, retention, and succession planning.
  • Build partnerships with businesses, training providers, and community organizations to enhance workforce outcomes.
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and adjust strategies for maximum impact.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and execute workforce programs to address employer recruitment and retention challenges.
  • Lead workforce initiatives and ensure successful program implementation.
  • Develop industry-specific workforce solutions, particularly within manufacturing.
  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders and business leaders.
  • Provide strategic consulting to organizations on employee engagement and retention best practices.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Workforce Development, Human Resources, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in workforce development, business consulting, or human resources.
  • Expertise in workforce development strategies, recruitment, and retention programs.
  • Strong consulting, problem-solving, and strategic planning abilities.
  • Ability to develop and execute employer-focused workforce initiatives.
  • Ability to travel occasionally for employer meetings and industry events. Valid driver’s license and vehicle insurance required.
  • Consulting experience within the manufacturing sector is a plus.
